BIOGRAPHY
David Salkin is a French-Belgian film & TV composer, multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter based in Paris. His work blends live instrumentation, organic textures and electronics, with a strong focus on atmosphere and storytelling.
His recent credits include several episodes of the France Télévisions series Alex Hugo, as well as the TV films Petit Ange, Meurtres à Montauban and Meurtres en Périgord Vert. He also writes songs for film and television, including Oh Frozen Love, featured in Alex Hugo, which has reached over 940,000 streams, and Let the Healing Begin, performed by Sandra Nkaké.
Alongside his work as a composer, David has a long career as a musician and multi-instrumentalist, working live and in the studio with artists including Zazie, Alain Bashung, Jacques Higelin, Stephan Eicher and Éric Serra.
Working from his own studio in Paris, he combines acoustic instruments, analogue electronics and sound processing to create distinctive, highly personal scores.
